Several Webster county citizens are camping out in the Courthouse tonight. They wish to be first in line come 8 a.m. tomorrow when filing begins for several county offices. Offices up for election in Webster County this time around is that of the Associate Commissioners- North and South, Sheriff, Assessor, Surveyor, Treasurer–Unexpired Term, Public Administrator, Coroner, and all township committeemen/women for the political parties.
A drive by the Courthouse at 11:45 p.m. found Mitch Moffit, Lyndal Fraker, and Billie Cunningham waiting for 8 a.m. so they could file for office.
Although this IS NOT a political site, we will try to keep you informed of who files for what office at the end of the day, and throughout the filing period which ends on March 25th, 2008
