Marshfield Dominates Reeds Spring 28-6
Marshfield had their first home game of the season last Friday Night as they hosted Reeds Spring on the new turf. After the MHS D forced a turnover on downs in the games first possession the offense got the ball at their 29. From there the Jays took the ball on an 8 play 71-yard drive capped off with a 26-yard TD pass from Carson Adams to Trenton Rosenthal out of the backfield. The extra point snap was mishandled and Case Steinbach found Takoda Gritts in the back of the endzone for the 2-point conversion. 8-0 Jays.
Still in the first quarter The Wolves QB being pressured by Caleb Kasper forced an errant pass that was intercepted by Takoda Gritts who returned it 23 yards for a Touchdown. Extra point by Riley Daily was good 15-0 Jays
The Wolves only score occurred in the 2nd quarter when a fumble in the endzone was covered by the wolves making the score 15-6. The extra point failed.
The offence took the ensuing possession on an 8 play 60-yard touchdown drive finished off with a 2-yard run from Rosenthal making the halftime score 21-6.
The Jays added a final scoring drive in the 3rd quarter. 7 plays covering 56 yards finished with a 4-yard TD run from Rosenthal. Extra point by Daily good.

The Lady Jays Softball team continued the hot streak by winning the Ozark Conference Tournament last week! Beating Branson 4-0, Rogersville 11-0, and Carl Junction 13-2. The Lady Jays record is now 7-1. The girls will be competing in the Lake Ozark Tournament this weekend.
Lady Jays Volleyball is off to a great start as well with victories over Capital City, Cabool, Willard, Forsyth, and Rock Bridge. The only loss was vs Jeff City Helias Catholic.
Lady Jays Tennis team in their inaugural season has dropped 2. Losing 8-1 vs Forsyth and 4-5 vs Parkview. Next up Tuesday at West Plains
Marshfield Boys Soccer – Last Tuesday the Jays fell to McDonald County 2-4. Will be playing in the Warrior Classic this week.
