I am sorry we did not have the play by play, but my computer crashed and I was not able to recover. I was trying to get the computer back up and going to call the remainder of the game, so I didn’t even get to keep a book to pass along the scoring. What I can report is that Logan -Rogersville came out on fire. The Wildcats took a double digit lead in the first quarter before the Lady Jays started climbing back into the contest. After the first quarter, nerves settled down, the Jays fought hard and by the fourth quarter had closed the margin to just 1 point.
The girls never could get over the hump though and the Wildcats stretched their one point lead into the final margin of 9. Final Score 60-51.
I talked with Coach Murphy after the game and he stressed that he was proud of his team for fighting back after being down. “We never quit and fought our way back into the game and were in it till the end. I am proud of the way this team responded.”
I am also proud of the way this team overcame every obstacle that was thrown at them this season, and still managed to play inspired basketball the last half of the season.
GOOD JOB LADIES!
Thanks to Shelby Atkison for taking these pic’s.
