We hope you have enjoyed our holiday coverage of the Jays and Lady Jays! This afternoon the Branson Lady Pirates beat our Lady Jays 57 to 43 ending our Pink and White Lady Classic tournament for this year. Our unseeded Jays represented us well! We look forward to covering them the rest of the year!
Branson advances to play for 5th place tomorrow at 12:30 against the winner of Aurora and Camdenton.

Wednesday December 30th
Well Jays and Lady Jays fans its all up to the Lady Jays now if we want one of our teams playing an additional game during the Holidays.
The girls will play at 12:30 on Wednesday against 5th Seed Branson who was upset earlier in the tournament. We have already beet one seeded team and hope to win and advance. The winner of this game will play for 5th place Thursday at 12:30. The loser is done.
Tuesday December 29th
The Lady Jays lost vs top seed Kickapoo sending them to the 12:30 game tomorrow vs Branson. Branson lost in OT to Strafford.
Our appologies for not being able to cover the girls game this morning. We were there and set up but asked to move from the location we have used for several years. New people at O’Reilly Event Center still trying to figure things out on how to host a tournament. I should have called ahead. My fault.
We will be able to bring you tomorrows game at 12:30.
The Marshfield Blue Jays ended their part of the 70th annual Blue and Gold Tournament with a loss to Reeds Spring.
Next up is Strafford on January 8th.
Monday December 28th
The Lady Jays played in the opening round of the Pink and White Lady Classic on Monday at 11 am vs (8-0) Spokane.
The Lady Jays were led in scoring by Peyton Greenlee with 17 but in the final seconds she could only watch along with Shelly Jones and the other Lady Jays as she fouled out late in the 4th. Coach Jones called a timeout with 8 seconds to set up the final play. Marshfield got the inbounds pass to (Sr) Allie Owens who worked it to (Sr) Skyler Collison who found (Sr) Lilly Johns. Johns took it to the house and banked in the winner! Lady Jays play at 9:30 in the morning vs top seed Kickapoo from the O’Reilly Family Event Center! You can watch it here!
JAYS beat Rogersville
It took overtime and a missed free throw with no time left on the clock but the Jays outlasted the Wildcats 62-59 in Overtime.
Marshfield will play the Reeds Spring Wolves tomorrow at 4:00 from Hammons Student Center.
On Saturday
They Jays got the start they wanted jumping out to a big 20-4 1st quarter lead but then, much like last Saturday, the opponent started chipping away. This time Willow Springs came all the way back , taking their first lead with 26 seconds left in the game and stealing the victory from the Jays 51-47.
Rogersville lost to Nixa 54-41.
Marshfield will play Rogersville Monday at 5 in Hammons Center.
Pre Tournament Story
The boys are in the Blue and Gold Tournament on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield. Games will be played in both JQH (John Q Hammons) and Hammons Student Center (HSC). This Tournament starts on Saturday. The boys have an impressive record of 7-2 including wins over Ozark Confrence teams Lebanon and Camdenton, as well as Batesville (AR) and Fronteac (KS). We are seeded 8th.
The girls are playing in the Pink and White Lady Classic Tournament on the campus of Drury University. Games will be played in both the O’Reilly Family Event Center (OFEC) and Weiser Gymnasium ( WG). This Tournament starts on Monday. Our girls are unseeded with a 4-2 record and some big wins. I think they will be out to prove something in this one!
