Jays finish week with 2 big wins over Bolivar and Republic

Coach Stokes and his Bluejays continue to tally up wins.  After beating up on two COC foes, the Jays now have a record of 11-4. 

Friday night the Jays hit the road to Republic to take on the Tigers.  After 1 quarter the game was tied at 10, but in the second the Jays busted open an 11 point lead going into the half up 31-20.  From there we went on to win 61-47.

Four Jays scored in double figures.  Utah Findley led all scorers with 19, Jared Greenlee had 18, Ty Diehl had 13, Jake Powell put in10 and  Lawfton Summers put in 1.

On Thursday the Jays hosted Bolivar in a game that was  postponed from Tuesday due to the snow.  Even though it was cold outside the Blue Jays come out on fire.  We jumped out to a 24-10 lead after 1 and led 52-25 at the half.  The game was never close and we went on to win 81-62.

Once again we had 4 with double figure scoring.  Utah Findley led all scorers by putting in 24, Jared Greenlee and Jake Powell added 13 apiece, and Ty Diehl scored 10,  Other Jays contributing were Armstrong 8, Summers 6, Van Diggelen 4, and Wallace 3.

 

Next up, Hillcrest comes to town on Tuesdsay– WE WILL CALL THIS ONE LIVE.  This is going to be a fun one.  If you can only see 1 game this year make it THIS game.
