After winning the first round game against Niangua 78-29, the Jays knocked off Stockton 66-48.
Stockton jumped out early and led by the score of 8-1 in the first quarter, but the Jays closed that gap to 12-10 by the end of the first. Forty seconds into the 2nd quarter, the Jays had tied the score. Behind the strength of a 7-0 run, we had the lead 17-12 when Stockton’s coach called time out to try and stop the momentum with 6:20 on the clock. After that time out, the Jays outscored their opponent 6-2 in the next 68 seconds and had a 23-14 lead when Stockton again called a time out with 5:12 to go in the first half.
The Jays put up 20 points in the second quarter led by Justin Jones, who went 3-3 from the free throw line with two buckets, including a monster slam dunk, to excite the crowd. In all, eleven Bluejays took the court in the first half.
In the second half, it was all Marshfield. The Jays outscored Stockton 36-26 in the second half, making the final score 66-48. Kelby Phelps led all scorers with 21 points. Scoring for your Jays went Phelps 21,Jordon Jones 14, Nathan VanDiggelen 12, Cameron Keenan 5, Jordon Jones 5, Justin Drane 4, Charlie Williams 4, Scotty Ragsdale 2 and Alex Bartow 1. Derek Welch and Jason Young also played for the Jays.

The Jays move on to the Championship game @ 8:30 on Saturday. They will face the winner of the Morrisville/Buffalo game. GOOD LUCK JAYS!
