The Jays had there first home game of the season against the visiting Catholic Irish but could not hold on for the victory as the Irish won the contest 42-19. The first twenty minutes or so looked competitive against the #5 ranked team in the state in their division. Marshfield would strike first with a 47 yard bomb from sophmore quarteback Blayne Armstrong to senior Will Pate. Catholic would score on their next drive down the field. The Jays running back Dillon Harms would then walk into the end zone with an 8 yard run up the middle. From there on out it was the Irish show and the Jays final score in the ball game would come in the last three seconds in the third quarter with a Jared Greenlee reception from Armstrong. This was a small COC confrence matchup and this leaves the Jays at a record of 1-1 in the confrence.
