Proudly Broadcasting Marshfield, Missouri to the World!

Bolivar wins in dramatic fashion.

Bolivar jumped out in the top of the first inning 2-0, but Marshfield fought back.  MHS scored 1 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th to tie the game at 2.  That was the score going into the bottom of the 7th inning.  The Lady Jays had the bases loaded with no outs.  There was a play at the plate that would have ended the game with the Lady Jays winning 3-2.  The catcher dropped the ball, but it was ruled that she picked it up and had control in time for the force out at home.  Marshfield still had two more opportunities to get the game winning run, but Bolivar retired the next two batters by way of strike out and then a flyout to center field.  In the top of the 8th, Bolivar was able to get the winning run and the Lady Jays went down fighting.

At this time of year you either win the state championship or you lose your final game.  This year’s Lady Jays team was fun to watch, and the season ended with the most exciting game of the year.  We wish the best of luck to each of the Lady Jays in their future endeavours.
