For the second time this year the Marshfield lady Jays have beaten a State ranked opponent. This time it was Walnut Grove. They are ranked #8 in Missouri Class 1.
Marshfield got out to a 17-13 lead after 1 and led 30-17 at the half. The Lady Jays defense allowed only 4 points in the second quarter.
Marshfield led 43-31 after three and won the game 52-45.
Lauren Aldridge led all scorers with 23 points, Madison Clark added 13, Makenna Smith put in 8, Ali VanDiggelen scored 4, Kylee Murgel and Sammy French added 2 apiece. Taylor King didn’t score but played awesome defense.
Heather Harman added 21 points for Walnut Grove.
