Lady Jays JV tops Bulldogs

 The JV Lady Jays improved to 7-1 on the season with a ‘decisive 61-42 victory over visiting Blue Eye High School on Tuesday night.

Hannah Keith led the scoring for Marshfield with 17 points, hitting three treys in the game. Keith scored 9 points in the first period to help the Lady Jays to a 14-8 advantage.

Chelsea Ahrens scored 11 points for Marshfield with 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

Kayla Baldwin finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal for the winners.

Marshfield led 37-19 by intermission as Shelby Porter scored 6 points in the second period for the Lady Jays. Porter finished with 7 points, 2 rebounds, a steal and a block in the game.

Alley Bruton added 5 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds to the winning attack. Justina Burney also scored 5 points for Marshfield with 2 rebounds and a steal.

Marshfield led 50-29 after three periods. as Keith knocked down a pair of treys in that quarter.

Sarah Neptune scored 4 points for Marshfield with 2 steals, an assist and a rebound in the game.

Jessie Bruton scored 2 points with 2 assists and 2 rebounds for the winners.

Kaitlyn Murgel also scored 2 points for the Lady Jays with a team-high 6 rebounds, 3 steals and an assist in the contest.

Jenna Diehl scored 2 points for Marshfield and Ashley Honeycutt finished with 2 steals and 2 rebounds in the contest for the Lady Jays.

Tara Williams led Blue Eye with 15 points, 3 steals, a rebound and an assist.

The Freshman Lady Jays also played, and beat Nixa 55 to 23.
