The 2023-2024 Lady Jays basketball season is quickly approaching and this season should be one to remember! Marshfield returns four Seniors from last years team that went 22-6. In the last three years these Ladies have run off an impressive 60 Wins versus 20 Loss record.
The Lady Jays return the two time defending Big 8 East Division Player of the Year, Senior Lauren Luebbert. Last year she averaged 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game on her way to earning Class 5 All-State honors, in addition to All-District and All-Big 8 teams as well.
Senior Abby McBride earned All-District and All-Big 8 selections while averaging 11 points, 5 boards, 3 steals and 3 assists per game.
Senior Lillie Findley was named All-Big 8 Honorable Mention and Senior Halle Menzies was on the All-Big 8 Defensive Team.
Other returners with significant playing time from last year are Sophomores Quinn Aldridge and Jordan Jung.
Juniors Allie Tackett and Laina Wipf along with Sophomores Marlee Cramer, Reagyn Frazier, Tilly Greenfield, Katelyn York and Josie Desha round out a very talented Lady Jays Squad who are the defending Big 8 Champions.
Freshman newcomers include Peyton Ward, Kendyl Dolan, Madelyn Beckner, Paris Peacock, and Emery Leighty.
Katie Pritchard is entering her sixth season as head coach of our Lady Jays. She has a record of 85-49.
Marshfield will host a jamboree on Nov. 14 before opening the 2023-24 regular season on Nov. 20 at Clever.
