It was all Ozark as they beat our ladies by the score of 9-0. Ozark scored 3 in the 2nd and 5 in the 3rd to take command of the game and never looked back. Ozark starting pitcher Shelby Romines put out 15 lady Jays in a row in 5 innings pitched. Marshfield only had one base runner while Romines was in the game. Ashton Worth was put in the game in the 4th. She struck out but was able to beat the throw as the ball got away from the catcher. The very next play was a double play to end the inning.
Worth come into the game for her first work of the year in the 4th inning. She sent down 6 Ozark batters in a row in her first two innings of work. In the 7th she gave up a lead off walk who come around and scored making the final 9-0.
The Lady Jays play in Hollister on Thursday. The record is now 3-3.
