Monday Night the Marshfield Lady Jays traveled to Rolla to take on the Bulldogs in the SemiFinals of the Class 5 District 9 Basketball Tourney.
Rolla started things off with a 4-0 run but the Jays fought back and it was 10-9 at the end of the first quarter with the home team on top.
At the half the Jays trailed 17-16.
Marshfield took their first lead of the game in the opening minute of the 3rd quarter and it was a back and forth battle in the 3rd quarter from there. Towards the end of the 3rd Marshfield had a built a lead and with 7:38 left in the 4th our Lady Jays were up 34-25. With 5:37 left in the game the lead was 10. 35-25.
Rolla cut the lead to 5 with 1:37 left. From there the Jays outscored the Bulldogs 10-2 to get the win! Final Score MARSHFIELD LADY JAYS 45 ROLLA 37.
In the other SemiFinal West Plains outlasted Jefferson City Helias 52-45
The Marshfield Lady Jays will play at West Plains vs the #2 ranked team in the state the Lady Zizzers at 5:30 Friday.
