After opening the 2008 soccer season with a 6-2 victory over visiting Hillcrest on Thursday, the Marshfield High School Lady Jays finished second in the Clinton Soccer Invitational on Saturday.
Marshfield opened the tournament with an 8-2 victory over Central, Kansas.
The Lady Jays then fell in overtime to Marshfield, 3-2, in the title match.
The Lady Jays will host Dixon today and travel to Springfield Central Thursday. Marshfield will conclude a busy week of action by hosting Springfield Catholic on Friday. Junior Varsity matches in Marshfield start at 5 p.m., followed by the Varsity match.
