The Lady Jays started the season with a victory behind a dominating pitching effort of Marshfield Senior Ashton Worth. Ashton struck out 16 Lady Eagles batters, walking none, and allowing only 1 hit.
Marshfield scored in the 3rd when Kianna Baderdeen trippled off of the center field fence to lead off the inning. She stole home on the next pitch when the ball got away from the Lady Eagle catcher. Marshfield scored two more in the 4th and won the game 3-0.
Marshfield is 1-0 on the season and will play Branson on the road tomorrow night.
