The Marshfield Lady Jays spent Saturday in Norwood. The day started with the first game starting at 9 am as the Jays played the Lady Tigers of Seymour. MHS won that contest 8-1. In the semi-finals they faced the Fordland Lady Eagles. Marshfield wasted no time in jumping on top early and won the game 12-0 in 3 innings.
In the Championship game the host team Norwood jumped out first by scoring the first 3 runs of the game in the top of the first. Thats all that they could produce. The Lady Jays answed by scoring 2 in the second, 1 in the third, then added 5 in the fourth to bust it open. We went on to win 10-3.
The Lady Jays record is now 16-5. We will host Rogersville Tuesday night at home. First pitch is at 5.
