Marshfield fell behind early trailing 2-0 in the 3rd. The Lady Jays took the lead in the 5th 3-2. Bolivar then scored to tie the game at 3 in the 6th.
The story of the game however was Marshfields defense giving up 4 errors and allowing the Lady Liberators to stay in the game.
In the 7th with 2 outs the 4th error allowed Halbrook to reach 1st, then an intentional walk after a passed ball set the stage for Patton. Patton hit a 2 run double off the fence in center field and Bolivar went on to win the game 5-3.
Marshfields record is now 11-4. This is the 2nd COC loss.
Marshfield will get a chance to forget about this one as they host another COC rival in Hollister tomorrow, in a make up game from earlier in the season.
