Marshfield came out a little sluggish on the first drive of the ballgame tonight against conference foe Reeds Springs, but caught fire quickly and never looked back winning 38-0.. Zach Hildebrand had a HUGE night on the ground rushing for 127 yds. and 4 TD’s. and a 2 pt. conversion. Jared Greenlee started for the injured QB Peyton Bransfield and was 7-18 passing with 84 yds. and 1 TD in the air. Senior Brad Dinwiddie had 28 yds Revc. and a TD in the ballgame.
The Jays defense had a great game as well. Cody Grenninger came up with 2 fumble recoveries while Justin Yarnell collected one himself and had a huge run to cap it off. Junior Evan Theobald had 2 Interceptions in the game. James Washburn also had an interception in the contest. Senior Cody Brown led all tackles with 7 against the Wolves. The Jays also collected 4 sacks tonight and penalties totaled 4 for the Jays and only 2 penalties for Wolves.
J.P. Jacks, Dewayne McCrosky, Zack Kennemer, Frank House, Sean Wallace, and Will Pate also had tackles in the game.
Jacob Twaddle also kicked a 40 yd Field Goal in the Game.
