The Jays fell to Buffalo 50-55 in a COC matchup on Tuesday night. The Night was filled with Senior honors on the last home game of the season. Marshfield honered The Basketball Jays, the Jaywalkers, and The Senior cheerleaders in between the JV and Varsity Contest. Also being honered was the 8th and 7th grade boys for both winning there confrence tournament last week.
The game was close most of the first half with not more then 4 pts seperating them at any point. At haltime the jays were down 1, and came out a bit slow in the second half. Buffalo would actually get ahead by 11 at one point, but the jays would fight back and get close again late in the 4th. With less then 2 minutes in the game the Bison would go up 5 when Sophmore Ty Diehl would hit a big 3 getting them within 2. With less then a minute Buffalo would go back up 5 when Diehl hit another big 3 to get back within 2. But the Contest was won at the free throw line where Buffalo hit enough freebies to stay ahead for good. Freshmen Jared Greenlee had another monster game scoring 25 in the ballgame.
