The Reeds Spring Wolves scored 6 runs in the 4th to rally for a 10-9 win over Marshfield High School in Central Ozark Conference junior varsity baseball action in Marshfield on Monday, April 15.

The Wolves scored in the top of the first when Billy Hesik reached second safely and scored on an RBI single by Wes DeWilde.

Marshfield responded in their half of the opening frame with 4 runs. Cody Brown doubled to start the rally. Seth Letterman singled to drive in the tying run. Shane Harms singled and Shawn Steele was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

Jared Jones and Cody Greninger each walked to drive in a run, and Kelsey Hyde drove in the final run with a grounder.

Marshfield starter Jared Jones shut down the Wolves in the second, and his teammates went back to work in the bottom half of the inning. Seth Letterman was hit by a pitch, moved to second on a single by Shane Harms, went to third on a walk to Shawn Steele and scored on a single by Jared Jones, putting the Jays up 5-1.

The Wolves scored 3 times in the third to cut the lead to 5-4. Riker Douglas walked, Wes DeWilde singled and Kyle Fleck had a hit to load the bases. Chris Jones grounded out and drove in a run, then Jake Duvall smacked a 2-run double.

In the last of the third, Ryan Bramer walked, then with 2 outs, Cody Brown smashed a 2-run homer, putting the Blue Jays up 7-4.

The Wolves sent 11 men to the plate in the big fourth inning, getting RBIs from Wes DeWilde, Kyle Fleck, Jake Duvall and Jake Wydert, taking a 10-7 lead.

Marshfield scored 2 more runs in the last of the fourth. Shane Harms doubled and Shawn Steele walked. Both would score on a wild pitch.

In the final inning, Marshfield reliever Shawn Steele set down the side in order.
