Several candidates file to join busy election year

It was a busy day in the county clerk’s office on Tuesday as several candidates made their way to file for various offices.  As of 10 a.m., these are the candidates for Webster County office:

Sheriff:  Mitchell Moffit (R),  Dallas E. Robertson (D),  Scott Quinn (R),  Steve Adamson (R).

Assoc. Commissioner-North:  Lyndall Fraker (R),  Billie Cunningham (R),  Charlie Cologna (D).

Assoc. Commissioner-South:  Denzil Young (R).

Surveyor:  Dennis Amsinger (R).

Public Administrator:  Donna Hannah (R).

Treasurer:  Mary P. Clair (R).

Assessor:  Jim Jones (R).

Coroner:  Michael P. Taylor (R).

In April, city residents will go to the polls to determine two alderman and a mayor.  Those candidates are:

Mayor:  C.R. "Bob" Clark,  Lawrence A. Stevens,  Kim Atkison

East Ward Alderman:  Tommy Owen,  Tiffany Porter

West Ward Alderman:  Sarah Henery,  Edward D. Noland, Barbara Carrol, Michael E. Weaver, Sr., Laura Bitting

There will not be a race for school board.  Three seats are available and three candidates have filed:  Steve Rasnick, Pat Blinzler, and Susie Knust.
