JAYS VARSITY:
The boys will play Liberty in a make up game from earlier in the year at 6:15.
This game will feature two committed Division 1 players who will be teammates at Austin Peay in Tennessee in the future. Austin Peay competes in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Mountain View Liberty guard Terrell Gaines, a senior averaged 27.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per contest last season. Marshfield Junior Tegan Curley, a 6-foot-7 forward averaged 11.9 points and a team-best 6.7 rebounds as a sophomore, earning a spot on the all-conference team.
These two teams met in the first round of the Mountain Grove Tournament last week with Liberty getting the win 75-51. Curley had 3 defenders around him most of the game. We will see how it goes tonight!
LADY JAYS VARSITY:
The Lady Jays host Reeds Spring in a BIG 8 Conference match up.
Marshfield comes into tonight’s game ranked number 6 in Class 5 with a record of 15-4. We are undefeated in Big 8 games. (3-0 in Conference)
Reed Spring has an overall record of 5-12 and is also undefeated in Big 8 play after beating Hollister. Conference Record 1-0.
SUPER PINK OUT NIGHT:
There are all kinds of extra activities tonight as both JV teams will play at 5 pm. Boys in main gym, and the girls in the AUX gym.
At halftime of the boys game the Varsity Girls Wrestling team will be recognized. The JAYSWALKERS will perform and there will be a collection for PINK OUT. Pink out funds will be donated to Coach Kaderly for the care of his daughter Reise who currently is in the Houston (TX) Childrens Hospital.
Halftime of the girls game will feature a Teddy Bear Toss. This is Jackson Gardner’s Senior project. All of the teddy bears will be donated to a Childrens Hospital in Kansas City.
