Marshfield traveled to the home of the # 4 team in the state tonight to face the Republic Tigers. For the second time this week Marshfield got down early and trailed at the end of the first quarter 18-7. Republic led 41-26 at the half and 57-43 at the end of 3. Marshfield would not go down easy and played hard, cutting the Republic lead to 10 with 3 minutes to go, but the night belonged to the Tigers. They went on to win 67-56.
Jimbo Tyson and I were talking after the game about how proud we were of our team. Look for good things to happen for the Blue Jays the rest of the season.
Scoring for our BlueJays was led by Kerrick Wright with 16. Summers 14,Armstrong 10,Clift 8,Welsh 3, Clancy 3, McAnarney 2.
Republic had 3 players in double figures. Geiger put in 16, Miller 15, and Fletcher put in 14.
Republic improves to 13-1. Marshfield is now 8-6.
