Nixa High School’s Eagles bleted a home run and three doubles, using the long ball to get past visiting Marshfield 7-2 in Central Ozark Conference baseball action on Thursday, April 17.
Marshfield falls to 5-6 overall and 2-4 in the COC with the setback.
Garrett Cardwell had 2 hits for Marshfield, and Zach Reed smacked a triple, but the Blue Jays made 4 errors in the field.
Justin Fraker, Chris Arnold and Chris Bigley also had a hit for the Blue Jays.
Shaun Crawford got the pitching start for Marshfield, and Chris Arnold worked in relief. The pair allowed 9 hits.
Emillio Villaneuva belted a home run to spark the Eagles attack. D.J. Jost hit a pair of doubles for Nixa.
Marshfield will be back in action Friday, April 18, hosting Mansfield in a non-conference contest at Ralph Eyler Field at 4:30 p.m.
