First of all, let me say we can’t be all things to all people.  Having said that, I need to let you know that everyone involved here at MarshfieldWebTV.com have "real" jobs.  This is a colaboration of LOCAL talent who will strive to bring you the information that is important to you, without interfering with our 8 to 5 normal jobs.  Every story I contribute here will be after hours, so I don’t want any of you thinking that I am cheating you, the taxpayer.  I love my job as the Webster County Recorder and I will continue to serve you one hundred percent in that capacity.

Now that I have all the disclosures out of the way, let me say that we are providing a service.  As I think back I can remember the early ’70’s.  I remember a local radio station covering the Marshfield Bluejays.  Back then the call letters were KEMM, and the announcers were Bob Atkison (my dad) and Mike Ahrens.  A lot has changed since then, but one thing that hasn’t changed is this town’s love for their Bluejays.  We are thrilled that with today’s technology we are once again able to bring you LIVE coverage of your Bluejays and Lady Jays.

Yes, we are here to cover sports.  We have already covered three of the softball games.  That has never been done in Marshfield.  Our site has only been up for two weeks and we have been found by our troops who are serving overseas.  Internet giant, Google, has found us (normally, I am told it takes 3-6 months to be found by them!).  My sister, who lives in Barcelona, Spain, has the ability to tune in and hear the action of her high school teams.
