The Jays trailed by one after the first half, and the score was tied after 3.  The offense exploded for 21 points in the 4th quarter while the defense held the 3rd seeded Mt. Vernon team to only 12 to pull away for the victory.  Marshfield improves to 5-2 on the season.  Mount Vernon falls to 5-2.

The Jays continue to make a statement with their play on the court about being a 6 seed in the upcoming Blue & Gold Tournament.  The Jays have now beat Mt. Vernon who is seeded 4, and pushed the 3rd seeded Willow Springs team to the brink of a victory before falling by 4 on the road earlier in the week.

Jays fans can be excited about our chances to advance deep into the Christmas-time classic being held at MSU.
