It was the Ashton Worth show on display at Jim Trantham North field in Marshfield today. Worth struck out 15, walked only one, and allowed only 3 hits. She also got it done with the bat, as she drove in the 2 Marshfield runs.
Here is how the scoring went. Tessa Jones led off the 3rd inning with a single. Sanders reached on an error by the 1st baseman. Baderdeen Sacrificed the runners over one base. With runners at 2nd and 3rd and 1 out Ashton Worth smashed a standup double to the fence in right-center scoring Jones and Sanders.
The Jays take on conference foe Bolivar tomorrow at home. Get out and cheer on the Lady Jays as the first pitch is scheduled to go at 5. ( They might start the game early….Like at 4:45, they did today anyway)
