Marshfield takes sixth at Willard Invitational

Senior Alex Bartow won the long jump and finished third in the 200 meter dash, helping the Marshfield Blue Jays to a 6th place finish at the Willard High School Track & Field Invitational on  Thursday, April 17, at Willard.

Branson won the team title, followed by East Newton, Ozark, Reeds Spring, Willard, Marshfield, Republic, Buffalo, Mt. View, Rogersville, Spokane, Fair Grove, Morrisville and Walnut Grove.

Alex Bartow won the long jump with a 19 feet 9.75 inches effort.

In the 200 meter dash, Alex Bartow finished third with a time of 23.68 seconds. Kahn of East Newton won the 200 with a time of 23.49.

Senior Justin Jones finished second in the high jump for Marshfield with a jump of 6 feet 2 inches. David Selby of Reeds Spring won the high jump with an outstanding area-best effort of 6-8.

Marshfield will be back in action on Wednesday, April 23, in the Central Ozark Conference/Ozark Confernce Supermeet.
