This was a 16 team softball tournament packed with many GOOD teams. Ozark, Kickapoo, Glendale, Ponca City(OK), Wheaton, Lee’s Summit West, Willard, Republic, Skyline, Morrisville, Lebanon, Carthage, Strafford, Bolivar and Rolla join your Lady Jays in the field.
The Lady Jays got back to playing very good softball beating Wheaton 4-1 in the first game. The great play continued as they faced Lee’s Summit West in the second round on Friday night.
Lee’s Summit West beat Willard 12-0 to advance into the second round game.
Marshfield beat Lee’s Summit West out of the Kansas City area 7-3.
Marshfield lost to Ozark in a good game by the score of 2-0 on Saturday. That loss dropped Marshfield into the 3rd place game against Republic. Ozark went on to face Carthage in the championship. Ozark beat Carthage 5-1 to take 1st in the tourney.
